We're very sorry for the recent lack of blogging, but our day jobs caught up with us! That's not to say we aren't still committed to Greenscroll.

The 2010 Green Toronto awards recipients have been announced and honoured, this past Friday in Toronto.  Did any Greenscroll blog readers have a chance to attend?  By all means, send me an email (heather@greenscroll.org) and let me know how it was.  This post is just a quick update, in case you read my earlier post about the nominees and were curious about who took home the hardware.

Greenscroll would like to give a quick shout out to some recently-celebrated Toronto greenies.  The finalists have been announced for the 2010 Green Toronto Awards.  Outstanding Toronto-based individuals, organizations and companies have a chance to win in nine different categories of environmental achievement.

April 22 is Earth Day. Earth Day Canada has a great website that can help you connect, participate or even help organize an event to celebrate and contribute to Earth Day. Have you ever wondered about the history of Earth Day or who started it?

Check out this cool little green plug-in from DoGood that allows you to support green initiatives with your web browsing.  The plug-in blocks generic website advertising and displays socially responsible campaigns and green initiatives instead.
