Earth Day Canada 0

April 22 is Earth Day. Earth Day Canada has a great website that can help you connect, participate or even help organize an event to celebrate and contribute to Earth Day. Have you ever wondered about the history of Earth Day or who started it?  Click here to learn about it.  Are you wondering how you can help and participate?  Earth Day Canada has some great ideas and information on what’s happening if your area.  Just click here to find events near you or here for a resource guide to plan your own Earth Day project. A quick, easy, and (technically) free way to support Earth Day Canada is too donate your Aeroplan Miles

Earth Day Canada has some really interesting projects on the go.  If you know someone who has made a difference or achieved an environmental achievement in your community, you can nominate them for recognition in Earth Day Canada’s Hometown Heroes program.    There are community-based programs such as EcoAction Teams, which suggests ways for municipalities or individuals to reduce energy and water use, waste production and greenhouse gas emissions.  Earth Day Canada also has some great programs for young environmental advocates, such as EcoKids.  The EcoKids website has some really fun eco-games that kids and adults alike would enjoy.   My favorite is called Mush Rush.

Once you check out Earth Day Canada’s website, if you still haven’t found a way to get involved and celebrate Earth Day, how about greening your website with Greenscroll?
